Biography
Sabrina Fazai is a self-taught photographer who discovered her identity as an artist through the lens of her camera. Driven by a deep curiosity and a passion for storytelling, she realized that her artistic journey extended beyond photography. This realization inspired her to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts at New World School of the Arts, through the University of Florida in 2024, where she currently studies.
With a background shaped by the interplay of cultures—born in California to Tunisian parents, raised across various countries, and rooted in Miami since 2011— Sabrina draws from a layered identity. This global perspective fuels her exploration of art and the connections between personal experience, cultural history, and universal themes.
In her practice, she approaches each medium with the same spirit of discovery she brings to learning a new language: curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to connect. By immersing herself in formal study, Sabrina seeks to expand her artistic possibilities, learning from the techniques, philosophies, and practices of those who came before her. Her work reflects a journey of self-discovery and a quest to bridge the worlds of tradition and innovation, with an ever-evolving voice that embraces the fluidity of identity and the power of connection.
